st. Simon’s Island, Georgia

The project is a ground up single story restaurant, approximately 3,200 sq.ft. with a 2,000 sq.ft.  patio.  The primary construction materials are wood, metal roofing, and composite decking. 

The project site had multiple large oak trees that had to remain so all construction had to take that into consideration.  The entire project is built up from the existing grade to elevate above the mean flood line.  This provided unique opportunities for the project. 

The main entry is a bridge that takes the patrons from the parking lot up to the main floor level of the restaurant.  We used the largest oak tree as a primary design element on the large elevated exterior deck.  The deck also has a small covered lounge area with an exterior fireplace.
