South Ponte Vedra BEACH Residence
pONTE vEDRA bEACH, Florida
Set along the oceanfront in Ponte Vedra Beach, the South Ponte Vedra Residence is conceived as a refined coastal retreat that blurs the boundary between architecture and landscape. The design prioritizes uninterrupted ocean views and natural light while maintaining a strong connection to the adjacent preserve, creating a balanced dialogue between openness and privacy.
A refined palette of cool and warm tones—expressed through varied textures and scales—establishes a clean, layered architectural language that responds to both the coastal environment and the site’s natural character. At the heart of the residence, a dramatic open staircase—set against a laser-cut metal panel backdrop—serves as a sculptural focal point, anchoring the interior spaces.
Expansive glazing dissolves the threshold between indoors and out, leading to a vanishing-edge pool that spans the full width of the rear elevation, visually merging with the Atlantic horizon. Designed for both intimate living and large gatherings, the home includes multiple guest suites, a private office, fitness spaces, two outdoor kitchens, and a fully equipped guest house. The result is a layered, immersive residence that seamlessly integrates materiality, view, and program into a cohesive coastal experience.
